ClientLoop
Client document portal

A client document portal built for structured workflows

One clear place for clients to see what you asked for and upload it. One dashboard for your team to review, approve and track. Both, branded, under your name.

The problem

A shared folder is not a document portal

A Drive link lets clients dump files with no labels, no order, no way to know something arrived. A real portal has structure.

Shared folder

No request listNo deadlinesNo trackingNo remindersVersions pile upFeedback by email only

Client document portal

  • Named requests
  • Clear upload slots
  • Live submission tracking
  • Feedback on each item
  • Approvals built in
What you get

One portal, two perspectives

Your clients and your team, each served without the other compromising.

What clients get

  • One secure link to their own workspace — no shared folders, no public links
  • A clear list of what to provide — files, forms, specific documents
  • Progress they can see — what's submitted, what's still needed
  • Change requests spelled out — exactly what needs to be different
  • Messaging attached to each request — no separate inbox

What your team gets

  • One dashboard across every client workspace
  • Preview documents before you download them
  • Request changes without vague back-and-forth emails
  • Approve, reject or send back for changes
  • See who is on track and who is stalling

FAQ

Common questions

What is a client document portal?

A client document portal is a secure, branded workspace where your clients upload the documents and information you need from them. Instead of sending files by email, clients follow a secure link to their own workspace, see exactly what's been requested, and upload the right files. You see everything in a single admin dashboard and can review, request changes or approve.

How is this different from a shared folder like Google Drive or Dropbox?

Shared folders have no structure — anyone can upload anything, there's no clear request list, no tracking, no reminders, and no approval workflow. ClientLoop gives every request a name, a deadline and a status. Clients know what to provide. You know what's arrived and what's still outstanding. Everything is tracked automatically.

Can I connect the portal to my CRM or other tools?

Yes. Via the ClientLoop API, you can create client workspaces and document requests programmatically when new clients are added to your CRM. Via webhooks, you can react when submissions arrive or are approved — updating your CRM, sending Slack notifications, or triggering the next step in an onboarding workflow.

Is the portal branded with my business name?

Yes. You can add your logo and business name to the client portal. On the Pro plan, you can also connect a custom domain (see pricing) so the portal appears entirely under your brand. Your team keeps one reliable login on your ClientLoop subdomain — your clients see only your brand on the custom domain.

How do clients access their workspace?

Clients receive a secure invite email with a link to their workspace. They don't need to create an account beforehand — access is via a scoped, time-limited link. Their workspace only shows their own documents, not those of any other client.

A proper place to send documents. And to review them.
